A Few Tips for the Studio

Get a good nights rest before you
go to studio.

Be on time to the studio, most studio's
start the clock at your scheduled time.

Bring extra guitar strings, drums sticks.

Make sure you have practiced well before
you get to the studio, it's not the place to
figure out new material.

Quit for the day when your tired, schedule
short sessions about 4-6 hours only.

Tune up often!

Singers bring plain water, no ice. Ice it constricts
your vocal cords. Hot tea & lemon are great!

Ask questions, seek help if needed, it's your dream!

Make sure you & the engineer have the same vision
of your songs.

Use a click track for drummers, it keeps the
band tight & on time.

Don't use new or different gear, you may get a
surprise you don't want.

Get the sound you want while recording, it can't
always be Fixed in the Mix.

Don't just record the number of songs you want
for your CD project. Record a few extra songs in case some songs
don't turn out as you wanted them to.

Don't stop in the middle of a song, most times the
mistake can be punch in and corrected.
